Who we are
A captive agent can only sell you the one company that signs their cheque. We are independent — which means the only interest we represent when the market opens is yours.
We opened this brokerage in 2001 after years watching business owners get sold policies that were built for the carrier's margin, not the client's risk. A captive agent works for one insurance company and quotes one company's product. When that policy is wrong for you, there is nothing they can do about it — and every incentive not to mention it. We were tired of watching good businesses discover the gap only after a loss. So we went independent, and we never looked back.
Being independent changes everything about how we work. We hold appointments with eighteen carriers, from national names to specialty underwriters most owners have never heard of, and every renewal we put your program out to the ones that actually want your class of business. That competition is what earns you the right price on the right coverage — not a loyalty discount that quietly erodes while the premium climbs. We get paid the same standard commission whichever carrier wins, so the recommendation is never about us.
When it counts
The real test of a broker is not the day you buy the policy — it's the day you have a claim. That is when a policy stops being paperwork and becomes the thing that keeps your doors open. We read the fine print before you sign so there are no surprises, and when a loss happens we are the ones on the phone with the adjuster, documenting the claim and pushing for every dollar you are owed. If you want a name on a business card, plenty of agents will oblige. If you want an advocate who will fight the carrier when it matters, we should talk.

How we work
Most of our clients carry a mix of these. After one conversation we'll map exactly where you're exposed and which lines actually earn their premium.
Buildings, equipment, inventory, and the income you'd lose if they went dark. We insure to real replacement cost, not the number that keeps the premium low.
General, professional, and product liability — the coverage that stands between one lawsuit and the end of your business. Limits sized to what you could actually be sued for.
Medical, dental, and life plans that help you hire and keep good people — structured so the benefits your team values cost you the least.
Breach response, ransomware, and errors-and-omissions cover for the risks that didn't exist when your old policy was written — and still aren't in it.
What we stand for
We answer to you, not to one insurance company. Eighteen carriers compete for your business every renewal, and we earn the same commission whichever one wins.
Exclusions, sub-limits, and coinsurance clauses are where policies fail. We find the gaps before you sign, so the coverage holds the day you need it.
When a loss happens we don't hand you a phone number. We document the claim, deal with the adjuster, and push for every dollar the policy owes you.
In their words
We'd rather let the business owners we've stood beside do the talking. Here's a little of what they've told us.
When a supplier's fire shut our line down for six weeks, our broker had the business-interruption claim filed the same day and money moving before the smoke cleared. They paid for themselves ten times over.
They read our old policy line by line and found a coverage gap that would have sunk us. We were paying more for less. The new program cost less and actually covered the risks we have.
Every other broker just re-quoted last year's policy. These are the only ones who asked what had changed in our business first — then shopped eighteen carriers to prove they'd earned the renewal.
Send us your current policy. We'll review it for gaps and get you a competing quote within two business days — no obligation.
